He Either Marry Me or Stay Single; How I Sacrificed My Prestige for So Called Smart

He has to marry me! He must marry me! No amount of money in this life can take his place in my life! I can’t really comprehend life with another man that is not him. No! No way! He has to marry me!

            My name is Clara, am from Benue state, my woes started when I got admission into Benue State University. On my first day in Campus, I met this cute and handsome fair skin guy who completely swept me off my feet. He was sitting in the first row of the class while I was three rows behind him, so I had the pleasure of really staring at him without him noticing. So I walked up to him after class and started a conversation with him “Hello my Name is Clara, can I know your name?” he looked at me and smiled, and he said “My Name is Smart, you look beautiful” and I blushed as he continues serving me praises of my beauty. I was on top of the world and swimming in a pool of butterflies and flowers when he asked me to excuse him so he could see his friend off. I was a bit angry but I let him go after I collected his number. At 11 ‘0’ clock PM that night, I called him and we both talked until the early hours in the morning.                                              

            That was how I met and fell in love with Smart. In our second year in School, he became my everything, I studied more of him than I Studied Law (which was the course we were both supposed

to be studying) as far as am concerned he was the only law I wanted to study. Calamity struck on the Second Semester of our second year. Smart lost his father, the Breadwinner of his Family. Things began to go rough for him; we were already living in the same apartment. So I covered for his feeding, things never went softer for him as life grew from rough to tough and things absolutely drew to a stop in his life. he was about to drop out from school as he was no longer able to pay his fees, but the love I had for him was so strong that I was willing to do anything for him.

            I know some of you will discriminate my action, but when you love somebody you go the extra miles to satisfy and make them comfortable, this was what I did. The comfort of smart was my No 1 priority, so in other for him to continue schooling and achieve his childhood dreams of becoming a Lawyer, I dropped out from school and diverted my fees from my parent to him. In other to ensure that he graduated as a lawyer, I stayed Illiterate, I disappointed my parent , I sacrificed my prestige and pride all because I love Smart and now Four Years after I choose to stay Illiterate so he could become a Lawyer, he now says he cannot marry an Illiterate! He now wants to marry a lady he met during his Youth Service!

            He offers to pay me any amount of money I wanted. Why won't he!!! He now has a Good Job, an Official Car, and a House to go with it. He has now forgotten how I use to fabricate lies in other to get money for us to feed and pay for his fees. He claims he never approaches me for a relationship. What was he thinking when he was sleeping oin the same bed with me in the same apartment for 5 Years? Was he thinking that I was a bed,Hungryy Girl? NO!! HE HAS TO MARRY ME OR STAY SINGLE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE!!!!!!!
