I WISH I NEVER HAD A MOTHER SEE WHAT SHE TOLD ME

My name is Oluwatoyin. I live in the area of Ikorodu, Ogijo precisely. I am 14years old. I am the first of five children. I live with my parents at Ogijo. My dad is a carpenter and my mum is a tailor. My dad is a very gentle man who is only concerned about his work and family but my mum, on the other hand, I don’t know how to quantify her, she’s so troublesome and self-centered. Sometimes, I wonder if she is really my mother, I wonder what exactly attracted my dad to her. Despite that my dad is quite poor and cannot afford 3 square meal for himself, he manages to fend for his 5 children. We all attend a government school where we don’t have to pay much to get into except for our writing material which is to be provided by our parents.
My dad did

Why I Choose To Stay SIngle

My Name is Precious Igwe, I am a Business woman of 32 Years old. I am from Anambra state. I am single but not searching because of what a man did to my elder sister that made her loose her mind. Men are wicked and heartless. If i'm given a gun to shoot either a snake or the man, I will rather leave the snake and kill the man. Men are so cunning and outrageous lot of heinous act they have committed to people around me especially my elder sister has convinced me really that no man is worthy! My sister was on her own pursuing her career and life so that she too can be great before marrying instead of being a liability to a man.
 she graduated from

Ope leave me alone; How I found love in your friend

My Name is Gbenga Owoseni. I am a Mechanic in Ikorodu. I had a Girlfriend who was an undergraduate of Yabatech. she lived with her mother, (her father is late) and 2 sibling. she is the first child of her parent. I met her on the street of Lagos, shomolu precisely where I'd gone to return a car that was brought to me for repair.Yes,i am handsome but cannot speak english fluently. I schooled in my home town at Oyo state and then came to Lagos after my secondary school. so,my Oyo accent has taken over my English. she showed me so much love and care, I really fell in love with her because I couldn't believe that such girl from a prestigious polytechnic could love an ordinary mechanic like me. Though, I was earning quite some money and I could fend for her needs to some extent. Her mum knows me, even her siblings.
On several occasions I had given them money and bought a lot of things for them. I even paid their house rent and got her mum a shop. I was no longer a stranger to the family. I saw Ope as my future wife,so,I didn't hesitate to take care of her need and that of her family. Ope showed me off to her friends, she was really proud of me and I was proud of her too, my friend call her "Emi Oga"meaning the " soul of the boss".

How My Father Died Because Of ONE CHANCE PRANKS

It was the first day of April in the year of our Lord .my favorite day of the year! The day I get to make a fool of everybody and anybody that falls into my trap that day.
My name is Dare, I am 22 years old, I reside here in Lagos and I hope to become a musician one day. Let me not bore you with details of my mischievous personality but one thing I have decided to always tell people about me each time I get the chance to do so is that I love pranks .this has been the only reason why everybody including my parents always check the time each time I say good morning to them (no jokes about that

I always laugh at them and feel like I was lording over them making it difficult for them to know when am serious and when from when am playing pranks) little did I know that I was only creating a death trap for my self.

He Either Marry Me or Stay Single; How I Sacrificed My Prestige for So Called Smart

He has to marry me! He must marry me! No amount of money in this life can take his place in my life! I can’t really comprehend life with another man that is not him. No! No way! He has to marry me!
My name is Clara, am from Benue state, my woes started when I got admission into Benue State University. On my first day in Campus, I met this cute and handsome fair skin guy who completely swept me off my feet. He was sitting in the first row of the class while I was three rows behind him, so I had the pleasure of really staring at him without him noticing. So I walked up to him after class and started a conversation with him “Hello my Name is Clara, can I know your name?” he looked at me and smiled, and he said “My Name is Smart, you look beautiful” and I blushed as he continues serving me praises of my beauty. I was on top of the world and swimming in a pool of butterflies and flowers when he asked me to excuse him so he could see his friend off. I was a bit angry but I let him go after I collected his number. At 11 ‘0’ clock PM that night, I called him and we both talked until the early hours in the morning.
That was how I met and fell in love with Smart. In our second year in School, he became my everything, I studied more of him than I Studied Law (which was the course we were both supposed

Hmm! Beware Of Karishika ..My Wedding Day See Yawa!

My name is opeyemi Oloto. I am the MD and CEO of Haviland Global Estate Ikorodu. I also live in Ikorodu. I'd like to share my experience in marriage and I hope it blesses you as you will definitely learn from it. My heart pours out to the Men. Yes, I am a man, and I understand how exactly we play the game.
About 19years ago, I used to have several girlfriends. If you call me a Womaniser, yes, I was a typical womanizer. No matter how a man womanizes there will always be one that will be so clinched to you than the rest. I had this babe then, she was somewhat my favorite because she was as raw as I was, we had sex anywhere, anyhow and anytime. We even went as far as taking a video coverage of ourselves while having sex in a couple of times.

We were that raw because I was quite naive, I was still so irrational, I didn't see such actions as any bad deal, it was like a way of flexing and grooving to me then. After a while, I gained admission into

Dangerous Affair, How I Became An Homosexual

My name is Jonah Dave but my friends call me “J”. I base here in the city of Ikorodu Ipakodo Precisely, Am a citizen of Delta State, I hail from Isoko North area of the State. Am a graduate of Psychology at the University of Calabar.
Homosexuality! How did I even arrive here? It all started when I was still in secondary school in Okene, Kogi State where I grew up. I attended Government Secondary School Okene. We had a bully who was one of our School Prefect. Everyone was afraid of him as he was very brutal and disciplined. He was also very good at using a cane. Whenever a teacher wants to punish someone, they always send for him because, at the mention of his name, all eyes are filled with tears.
It all started one morning when I came late to school and of course, “Pepperstand” (as he was called) was at the gate doing what to me is the only thing he knows how to do best except for; well, the other part which am about to tell us.
Back to our School, he was at the gate that day as I join the queue of latecomers waiting to be punished. When he got to me, of course, I was already shivering with fear, he just looked at me, hissed and said”look at this oneself, I never reach you, you don start to dey shake” with a shake of his

A Blind Shoe Mender Yet can Sew Shoe very Well

My name is Endurance Otobi I’m a blind shoe mender ,I am from Delta state Nigeria I was not born blind though, I have refused to give up on myself by making myself productive with shoe mending.
I started having problems with my sight while I was in primary school. I became blind in 2002 after an incident in my former compound. So I started going for a checkup, the doctor told me it was glaucoma.

At this point, my parents were not financially buoyant enough to pay for my operation to restore back my sight. It was a very tough and painful moment for me and my family, they thought I was going to raise the family, they hoped that I was going to bring joy to them because I was very brilliant and now all hope seems lost because every effort to beg from relatives or friends to carry out operation was driven to no avail.  The only thing left for us was to pray and hope.
My parents hoped and prayed that I would get better but it did not.  I couldn’t go out without the aid of someone assisting me. That’s how I sat at home from 2002 to 2009. I later made up my mind to fend for myself, because things were getting worse with us, my parents even find it difficult to fend for their selves and according to me, I really want to be somebody in life despite my physical disability.

From Hawking Bread To The Glossy Pages Of Magazines and fame.

I wanted to make it, I did all odd jobs to make ends meet I said to myself I'll rather not do prostitution or steal to feed my family because a good name is better than riches in this vanity world. I hated the fact that I had to feed the hard way. I started selling bread on the street of Lagos-Nigeria, Hawking under the steaming sun and cold rain, drenched still with my pan of bread going from street to street and house to house with my feet and throat almost worn out.

In my lonely times I shed tears, in the dark I asked myself questions and get dim answers with veil. But sometimes I smile to myself believing that my now will always be better. This very day in the usual street of Lagos around my residence

Dilema : How My Son Died In A Road Accident

My name is Felix Adeniyi  I am  based in Pashoku Aga in Ikorodu, a few months ago,  my son had a serious surgical recommended  problem I had to rush him that Friday evening when He collapsed and couldn’t walk, on getting to the hospital I was told that the doctor wasn’t around, so one of the nurses  called him, and the response was that he will be on his way immediately. The only choice I had at that time was to wait.

I Waited for almost an hour, when I finally saw him walking through the door I couldn’t hold back my anger I had to yell at him not minding if he was so much in a hurry, I have to blame him first for putting my sons life in a huge risk I was so loud that I didn’t hear myself saying; “Why did you take all this time to come? Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger? Don’t you have any sense of responsibility?” The doctor smiled & said: “I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital & I came as fast as I could after receiving the call……And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”  (I taunted him) “Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies now what will U do??” I said angrily. The doctor smiled again & replied: “I will say what Job said in the Holy Book “From dust we came & to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go & Intercede for your son, we will do our best by God’s grace”.  At this point, I was as furious as I was blasting him back to back saying: “Giving advises when we’re not concerned is so easy”

I think I was even wasting more time talking to him instead of letting him do his job... as if he read

If There Will Be Anything And Anyone I Wish Dead; Is My Uncle How He Shattered My Destiny

If there will be anything and anyone I wish dead;  is my Uncle for sexually abusing me. He shattered my destiny and made me miserable. This is what I’m presently encountering living with my uncle. My name is Gift; I stay in Kosofe Area, Ketu, where my parents and I live. I am a social girl with so much intelligence. Right from my primary school days, I’d attended several debates, quiz, and other competitions. This attracted people to me and they give me gift or even acknowledge me anytime those who recognize me, see me pass by.

When I got to secondary school, my parents relocated to Ibadan and thinking of how difficult it would be to get me into school in Ibadan, my parents decided that I go live with my uncle since he lives close to my school here in Ketu. My uncle has a fiancĂ© who only visits on weekends. My uncle works as an assistant manager in a bottling company, his duties are usually rotated, sometimes morning, sometimes night. He was so nice to me that he supplies all my needs; I sincerely don’t lack anything as a girl and as a student.

On many occasions, he took me to ShopRite to get things for me. Sometimes, he will ask us to hang

Why I And My Mum Had To Go Beg For Money

For many of our celebrities, the road to stardom wasn't a palatable, but they had to forge ahead doggedly and with determination, hard work, consistency and God's help, they were able to make it despite all the challenges they faced.
"Before my father died,we had a good standard of living.
Immediately my father died, the first thing that came to everybody’s mind was,oh,our standard of living is going to drop. people actuallythought that we are going to become very poor.I would probably become a prostitute. So my mum was on edge and under a lot of pressure. She was very uptight, always walking on pins and needles. I am the only girl, first daughter.
So,at a point I was really confused as to how my life was going To go,because there were times when we didn’t have anything to eat. That is the truth.
We are 3-myself and my 2 younger brothers,I went through a lot within the time I lost my father and found my feet.
Once, my mother and I went to beg for money in the house of of one prominent Nigerian.
We were so totally hopeless that day. I have never told anybody this before.
We cried all day because my younger brothers school fees was due and we didn’t have money to pay.

What I Faced In My Quest To Climb The stardom Ladder

As I attained fame and became a celebrity, not many people would know that their Dancehall singer, “Patoranking” as am popularly known had been in the music business for over a decade. Interestingly, I have seen the other side of life in my quest to climb the stardom ladder
“Nigerians are very powerful people and if they like my song, I am likely to be a success in Africa. There was a point in my life that I traveled to Ghana in search of greener pastures but I ended up trekking and sleeping on the streets. I decided to come back to Nigeria. Then I released ‘Alubarika’ and ‘Girlie O.’ both songs were a hit and in no time, I was invited to perform in Ghana, Kumasi Stadium to be precise. When they came to pick me, I counted the number of cars and it was 13. I was very surprised but was grateful to God,”

I Finally Got To Know I Had a Mum

I woke up this morning with swollen face because I had gone to sleep last night with tears in my eyes, the thought of not knowing my mother and having a mother care grieved me so hard that I began to relate it with some negative occurrence around me; I feel Rejected, Unloved, Castigated and Frustrated. This makes me disagree strongly with people who say Children who are not Breastfed are usually Unhealthy, Unintelligent, Dull and less privileged. I am a Living Proof. As I share this true-life story of mine, I hope it reaches out to those young ladies who are currently going through the same situation as mine. My name is Damilola  Amoo, I am 25years old -  I hail from ajase ipo in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara state. I grew up with my dad since I was a baby, though my dad later had a wife which is my step mum ( a story for another time).

So in Pain My office - my Ex lecturer

My name is Gbenga Fakolujo I stay at Bashorun street in Igbogbo Ikorodu, Presently the challenge I  am battling with; is that with my office and my ex-lecturer; It was my final exams I wrote and came out in flying colors …I had A’s in all my courses except Mr. popoola’s course I had credit…I had to go to Mr. popoola and beg him to give me an A in his course but he refused, Mr. popoola was a very reserved and good man…he was known to never take a bribe and he mostly kicked against corruption.
My parents came to the school and with some senior lecturers we begged him and he refused. The matter got so critical and my parents kept begging him with some other lecturers…after much pleading he just called me and gave me an A. I was so happy, my parents bought lots of gift for his family and lots of money was given to him even though he never wanted it, he was forced to collect it for what he did. He said he did it to make me come out 1st class…
